Canadian confederate sentenced

Skeleton lands man in jail for hate crime:

Back in May I posted about the Granados Brothers or as I called them the Canadian Confederates.

They got in trouble for hanging a black skeleton in front of a confederate flag in their little town of Keswick, Ontario.

Luke Granados was sentenced to 45 days in jail. He pleaded guilty to willfully promoting hate. Charges against Russel Granados were dropped.

Thanks to Dr. Johnny Fever for the tip.

Ark. campus shooter

4 charged in Ark. college shooting that killed 2:

Another story I’m sure you’ve heard about was the shooting on the campus of University of Central Arkansas where two students were shot to death and one was wounded.

Those arrested in the murders were Kawin Brockman, Kelcey Perry, Mario Toney, and Brandon Wade.

Once again thanks to Mr. A we have the MySpace of Brandon Wade.

It seems somebody either changed Wade’s MySpace after his arrest or set this up as a ‘support’ site since the profile name is ‘FREE LIL BEZZY’.

As usual let’s go to the ‘About me’…

Wat sup people this yo Boi B i made this page for my brother he locked up rite now but shit yall can kick ya shout out to him to let him know you got his back but he will be out soon but when he get out i am going to make sure he get own and holla at cha yall when he get out i want be on this page no more but cause he gone take ova but i got my own page on here Hot Boy B well i am bout to bounce so i’ll holla at yall that’s wat sup

Notice it says nothing about Wade being innocent or anything like that. I guess the people who support criminals in their family just think that two murders really isn’t that bad.

Obama's would be assassins

“Skinheads” Reveal All On Web:

I’m sure by now everyone has head about the two neo-nazi skinheads who planned to assassinate Barack Obama.

Not surprisingly the pair of racist idiots Daniel Cowart and Paul Schlesselman had MySpaces.

The article from CBS news talks about one of Schlesselman’s MySpace profiles and his racist rantings about ‘wiggers’. However I found what seems like a different one for Schlesselman. Be careful clicking on it, it contains nazi imagery. And by imagery I mean you’re greeted with a giant swastika on it. If that wasn’t enough here’s from his ‘About me’…

My name is Paul, I am from Memphis. people tell me i’m a scary motherfucker, then i kick the shit out of them. when im on the internet i like to chill at (racist forum site redacted) there are some pretty badass guys there

I bet he was more of a scared MFer when ATF rolled up on him.

Cowart’s MySpace, which is now private, had similar racist rantings on it as well. His MySpace allegedly said “Better to die quick fighting on your feet then to live forever begging on your knees.” Where he’s going I think he’s going to be spending a lot of time on his knees.

While I’m at it isn’t hate speech a violation of MySpace’s TOS? As long as jackasses like this are congregating on MySpace I’ll always consider it the trailer park of the internet.

Thanks to Mr. A.

Intercept Task Force

Police offer to shepherd youth on MySpace:

An Oregon-based law-enforcement group called the Intercept Task Force is asking parents to have their kids friend the ITF on MySpace to discourage sexual predators. This would also give the kids to IM the Task Force if a predator does approach them.

This is a great idea and I wish I could give you the link to their MySpace but like most newspaper articles it didn’t include the link. Get into the 21st century you morons.

Anyway if anyone knows the link please post it in the comments and I’ll update the post.

Update: Thanks to reader Brad we now have the URL.

CEO: YouTube ratings violate free speech

YouTube Co-Founder says ratings violate freedom of speech:

YouTube founder and CEO Chad Hurley says that instituting a rating system on YouTube violates the basic tenets of free speech.

“I”m not sure it is our job to solve the world’’s problems,” Wired News quoted him as saying.

“I”m not trying to hide from responsibility but we also have to respect freedom of speech,” he added.

He said: “I have two small children as well; we have clear policies and clear guidelines, and we have given tools to the community so they can flag or notify inappropriate content.

First off someone has a sense of overinflated worth about his website and for once it’s not me. Secondly having users flag the content is idiotic. I mean look at how well it’s worked for carigslist. Again that’s like letting the inmates run the asylum. I call YouTube the short bus of the internet because its average user could care less about flagging content. Pekka Eric Auvinen didn’t have his videos flagged, neither did Matti Saari.

When Hurley says that he’s not trying to hide from responsibility I disagree. I think that’s exactly what he’s trying to do. He could care less about free speech. he’s more worried about pissing of YouTube’s window licking user base.

In a related story, YouTube is calling on it’s users to flag videos that contain “youth violence”.

Good luck with that. Let me know how that works out.

Terrorism on Twitter

Terrorist ‘tweets’? US Army warns of Twitter dangers:

Army Intelligence really does live up to its oxymoronic name sometimes. This is one of those times.

They released a report publicly that states Twitter could be used as a possible communication and propaganda tool by terrorists.

Now I’m not saying there’s no such thing as terrorists or that everyone is a terrorist but if the terrorists weren’t using Twitter before I bet they are now.

Some things the military needs to keep to themselves.

The Backwards B

I’m sure by now you’ve all heard of Ashley Todd. She’s the woman who was a campaign employee for the McCain campaign who claimed an Obama supporter carved a backwards B onto her face. Then it turns out she did it to herself.

Anyway thanks to reader Jewel we have Ashley Todd’s MySpace. It’s private of course.

She should have done her research to know not to use the mirror when marking your own face. I guess she’s too young to know about when Morton Downey Jr. allegedly drew a backwards swastika on his own face and claiming to have been attacked by neo-nazis.

I could say something like that she’s still only half as crazy as some Obama supporters but I don’t want to seem partisan.

Facebook pedophile sentenced

Fox Lake man gets 35 years for Facebook sex scheme:

We have another repeat guest today at the MyCrimeSpace Motel. This time it’s Michael Macalindong. He’s the 25-year-old from outside of Chicago who I dubbed Facebook’s first pedophile.

Maclindong (ting-tang-walla-walla-bing-bang) lured teen boys over Facebook into having sex with him. When they refused he threatened to post videos of them on the internet. He was also found to have a large cache of child porn on his computer. In May he pleaded guilty to the child porn charges.

Yesterday he was sentenced on the luring charges and received a sentence of 35 years in federal prison.

Teens trash house after MySpace post

Teens Use Family’s Home As Hangout After Reading MySpace Post:

Here’s yet another reason why you shouldn’t post your personal information on MySpace. I think this is like reason #853.

A boy from North Canton, Ohio posted on his MySpace that his family was going on vacation. The local teen hoodlums took this as an invitation to party. They broke into the house and used it as their hangout for a week.

They ate the food, drank the liquor, borrowed the car, and of course stole stuff.

The eight teens are facing charges of burglary, theft, and unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving without a license.
