Teen Gets 44 Years For Kidnapping, Torture:
Back in February I posted the MySpaces of Ohio teen torturers Cheyenne Blanton and Joseph Nagle.
They were arrested for breaking into the home of Ashley Clark. At the time of the assault 18-year-old Ashley was recovering from brain surgery. Blanton and Nagle tied her up, shaved her head, threw her in a cold shower, made her walk barefoot in the snow, kicked and beat her, and hit her in the head with a baseball bat. This all took place over a 9 hour period.
Of course, as it has become routine on this site, all their dumbass friends came out of the woodwork defending them. Like there’s any defense for their actions. It was the usual rigmarole, He’s a sweet guy. There nice people. They made a mistake. Like I said before, forgetting to feed your goldfish is a mistake. Torturing someone for 9 hours is a heinous crime.
Anyway, the Bonnie of the pair was sentenced to 44 years behind bars for her role in the attack. The judge also said he didn’t believe that Blanton was capable of remorse. Nagle will be sentenced next month and I seriously doubt he’ll get less than his girlfriend.

ahah, that makes me unendingly happy! Wonder what their friends have to say now?
Yeah, really…I expect it’ll be something along the lines of that old Simon & Garfunkel hit, “The Sound of Silence”! LOL
But seriously, I thank God justice was served, and as Trench has speculated, I doubt the judge will go any easier on Nagle when he’s sentenced next month…as the victim’s father pointed out in court Fri, “This is not a ‘mistake’, but an act of cruel, vicious violence”.
Brilliant! High-fives all around. By the time you’re outta jail you’ll be so old the local teens should have no difficulty torturing you.
In the original post on News of Doom, you said that “if these teens aren’t charged as adults then there is no justice.” It’s nice to see that statement’s positive implication realized for a change.
Why wait till they come out of jail to torture them. i am sure there will be plenty In jail who can handle that task.
I hope the victims family will be at each and every parole hearing and help make them stay in there for as long as possible.
Bay, I don’t doubt the Clarks will ensure justice is truly served for their daughter…and unlike most cases, the perps’ parents weren’t defending their “little angels” the way Victoria Lindsay’s attackers’ folks did, but actually showed up in court back in Feb to support the victim, claiming they hoped “justice would be swift and severe” for their kids and adding “something needs to happen…they don’t need to be walking the streets”, as well as offering prayers for Ashley and her fam. A nice change of pace from the status quo, don’t you agree?
Another article on Blanton’s sentencing:
http://www.middletownjournal.com/hp/content/oh/story/news/local/2008/09/06/hjn090608blanton.html
This one has some new revelations, which don’t surprise me: apparently, Blanton has a history of violence toward Nagle, her mother, and animals. Also, while Blanton apologized and expressed a desire to change her ways, given her past history, it doesn’t surprise me why the judge was skeptical and considered her incapable of remorse.
Oh, and be sure to take note of the 3rd-to-last paragraph, which tells what “Bonnie and Clyde” were doing before/after committing the crime…a real jaw-dropper!
I read the article on Chuck’s advice, he proposed to her after the assault! I guess some people are just made for each other. I can’t imagine what sort of domestic violence charges would have resulted from that unholy union. Glad I’ll never find out.
1 down…1 to go.
how often do you hear of justice being served?
It’s times like this that I can only wonder what makes people mentally snap this much to do something to this gravity. What did they have against the person? Better yet, why didn’t they tell someone about their hatred so they could have at least seen a therapist to handle their emotions instead of taking it out on someone for 9 hours and getting sentenced to 40 years? I would love to know the motive, because I don’t think there is a good enough one to explain these people’s actions. But on the brighter side, the victim is still alive and these two insane torturers are facing justice.
A little late, but here’s another article on Blanton’s sentencing hearing:

Note what this bitch actually said to a probation officer while awaiting sentencing, which certainly gives credibility to the judge’s charactarization of her as remorseless.
Incidentally, Nagle’s sentencing is now just 2 days away…as I said before, given the severity of Blanton’s sentence, I’m sure justice will be served yet again.
Looks like Nagle got 39 years, only slightly less time than his GF:
