Search for Brooke Bennett focuses on uncle

Investigation into Brooke Bennett’s disappearance shifts to Randolph:

Police in Vermont have all but named Brooke Bennett’s uncle, Michael Jacques, as a suspect in Brooke’s disappearance. Police have searched his property and have ordered helicopter searches of the area. This was this afternoon and I have not heard any updates as it regards to the search.

Judge orders Jacques held on $250,000 bail; helicopter searches Jacques’ property:

As far as Jacques is concerned he’s no harmless guy who got put on the sex offender registry because he got caught with a 17-year-old. The most recent charge that Jacques has been jailed for sexually assaulting a relative over a 5 year period starting when she was 9.

In an affidavit released afterward, Vermont State Police Detective Sgt. William Jenkins said the girl told police that when she was 9 or 10, she was told — in a telephone call and in a note left under her pillow — that she had been selected for enrollment in a “program for sex” and that Jacques was to be her trainer.

“The first who does it lives and the second gets her throat cut,” she told police, according to the affidavit.

The victim stated he had other victims as well.

In 1993 Jacques landed on the sex offender registry for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor.

There’s just too many coincidences here in my opinion.

MISSING: Brooke Bennett

MySpace linked to Vermont girl’s disappearance:

An Amber Alert has been issued in the disappearance of 12-year-old Brooke Bennett of Vermont and they believe that MySpace has played a part in it.

Relatives dropped her off at a local mini market thinking she was going to meet a friend however security footage shows she walked off by herself.

Items of hers were found on the side of a highway.

After police investigated they found that she was communicating with somebody from MySpace who may have had something to do with her disappearance.

Her parents had previously cut her off from MySpace but police seem to think she made a new one at a different computer.

Hit and run suspect brags on MySpace

Teen’s MySpace page brags about hit-and-run:

17-year-old Jeff Perrette was arrested in the hit and run of Jason “Heath” Wigley. Wigley had to have surgery on his broken leg and claims Perrette said “I will come back for you.” I’m guessing he meant to finish what he started and not offer medical assistance.

Since you’re reading this here you can guess what tripped Perrette up. He bragged about hitting Wigley ion his MySpace of course.

“I hit him with my chrome and put him six foot under.”

Police received an anonymous tip about his MySpace which also showed his car in the condition it was before the accident.

A relative of Perrette claims he acted in self defense.

Self defense usually doesn’t consist of threats to “come back” for someone.

12-year-old stabbed over MySpace

MySpace quarrel sparks an attack:

18-year-old Stephanie Torres of New Jersey was arrested for stabbing the 12-year-old neice of her boyfriend.

Allegedly the 12-year-old erased a comment from a MySpace profile. The article wasn’t clear but I would assume it was Torres’ MySpace. Torres flew into a rage stabbing the 12-year-old three times. Once in the ribs, once in the neck and once on the arm.

Torres is being held on $75K bail and has a previous criminal record for asaults.

Kayla Hassel: Mad and sad

‘I Was Mad And I Felt Bad,’ Videotaped Beating Suspect Says:

One of the suspects in the Victoria Lindsay has had her statements to an assistant state attorney released to the press. 15-year-old Kayla Hassel seems to be claiming that she’s a victim.

She talks about how she was mad and felt bad after she saw the video after her release and how she’s had unwanted attention because of it. She also claims that it was never anyone’s intention to post the video to MySpace or YouTube. Right, what else do kids do with videos like this?

Hassel also turns on Brittani Hardcastle by saying it was Hardcastle that was encouraging others to beat Victoria. She also said that she was afraid of getting between the two because of how little she is.

I guess she thinks it’s all about her. Just like the rest of them.

Wash. teen rapist sentenced

MySpace Train to Juvie:

Back in February I did a post about how 4 teen rapists from Washington State were ID’d through MySpace. Now one of those teens has been sentenced. Although it’s not much of a sentence.

If you’ll recall the then 17-year-old boys got a 16-year-old Bellevue girl drunk then gang raped her. The victim was able to identify her attackers through MySpace but the MySpace angle doesn’t end there. Some of the suspects discussed on MySpace about killing the victim if she went to police. And of course we had the usual teens posing with guns pics on some of their MySpaces.

Anyway, the suspects pleaded guilty in juvenile court. The first suspect, Sergey Davniy, now 18, was sentenced to 15-36 weeks in a juvenile facility. That’s a great message isn’t it? Commit gang rape and you’ll only get 9 months in juvie and have your record expunged by teh time you get out so you’ll be free to rape again. That’s some fine work boys.

The other suspects are 17-year-old Kirill Korostelev, 17-year-old Yevgeniy (Eugene) Sadykbayev, and 17-year-old Marshall Carpenter. The most that any of them, are facing is 65 weeks.

This is not exactly what I would call justice.

Marine pleads guilty to sex with a minor

Ex-Marine Who Met Local Girl Online Headed To Jail:
I originally posted about Johnathon Plaisance here. Back in December a then 20-year-old Plaisance was a Marine who traveled from Camp Lejeune to Pittsburgh, PA to see a 13-year-old girl he met on MySpace. He proposed to the girl and the two spent a night at a hotel room where they had sex and watched porn.

Now Plaisiance has pleaded guilty to charges of unlawful contact with a minor, statutory sex assault and removing the child from the custody of her parents.

He’s looking at 3-6 behind bars.

Thanks to Chrys for the tip

Home invasion claimed as MySpace prank

MySpace prank or violent holdup?:
20-year-old Paul Michael Hagan of Spotsylvania County in Virginia and an accomplice were arrested in a botched home invasion. The two suspects stormed a man’s home and tried to steal his X-Box. When the victim fought back and wrestled the gun away from the intruder Hagan ssaid that it wasn’t a real robbery but a prank they were filming to post on MySpace.

If that’s the case then this isn’t a jail, the police are just filming a prank for YouTube. Meet your costar, his name is Bubba.
