PeTA does some good for once

O.C. man enters plea in MySpace animal abuse case:
19-year-old Joseph Anthony Deiss of Orange County, California has pleaded guilty to animal abuse charges. It seems that Mr. Deiss recorded himself throwing rabbits and a pug 15 to 30 feet in the air and letting them hit the ground. He then posted the video to MySpace where it came to the attention of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA).

The normally outlandish animal rights group did the responsible thing this time and went to police.

Deiss claims that the rabbits were bought to feed his snakes. That still doesn’t explain flinging a pug into the air.
