Anthony Uckele convicted

Man guilty of more charges in MySpace case:
I originally posted about Anthony Uckele here. He’s the 24-year-old from Saratoga, California who was facing 36 charges for a sexual ‘relationship’ he had with a 12-year-old girl he met on MySpace.

Well it seems that Mr. Uckele has been convicted of 20 of those charges. On the remaining 15 charges the jury was deadlocked. So now Uckele is only looking at 46 years behind bars rather than the 78 he could have received. He is scheduled to be sentenced on February 29th.

What’s almost disturbing as Uckele himself is the amount of people posting comments not only on this site but at the newspaper’s site that blame the 12-year-old victim. You people have issues and I wouldn’t be surprised if you had certain criminal sexual leanings yourself.

Another case of 15 will get you 20

Man, 35, charged after MySpace contact leads to rendezvous with girl:
The headline is a little misleading but I’ll get into that in a second.

35-year-old Gregory S. Malecki, of Feeding Hills, Mass. is under arrest for using MySpace to communicate with a 15-year-old New York State girl for purposes of sex. Malecki has ties to the New York area and met the girl before the two started talking on MySpace. Malecki was arrested when attempting to meet his victim.

In early November, the teen went to the Child Advocacy Center to complain about prior non-consensual activity, Salamone said. Malecki might face additional charges relating to that incident, he said.

I could not find a definitive MySpace for Malecki

Marine jailed for teen's disappearance

Police: Marine Met North Side Teen Online:
20-year-old Lance Corporal Johnathon Plaisance of the USMC is behind bars for the disappearnce of a 13-year-old Pittsburgh, PA girl on Christmas Day. According to the article Plaisance and the girl were chatting over the internet over the past few months but didn’t say what site they were using. I couldn’t find a MySpace for Plaisance but I did find one on Facebook.

Anyway Plaisance traveled from Camp Lejeune to Pittsburgh where he and the girl shared a hotel room. Plaisance also proposed to her and presented her with a diamond ring. Being a 13-year-old girl who obviously didn’t know any better she accepted. And to top it all off…

They found that, “Two pornographic movies were registered to room 119 … the room where Plaisance was registered.”

Do I have any military readers out there specifically ones in The Corps? I’m curious to know what the repercussions for this kind of behavior would be within the USMC.

Thanks to Angie for the tip.

Zachery Matthews

Thursday, he grieved her death; Sunday, he was jailed:
21-year-old Zachery Otis Matthews was arrested in the death of his girlfriend and mother of his child, 19-year-old Kristine Larson.

On Thursday, Zachery Otis Matthews fell to the floor of Kristine Larson’s family home, not once but several times, overcome with emotion. Larson’s body had been identified that morning as that of the young woman found strangled in a burning car in Minneapolis.

It was all that Matthews, the father of Larson’s 2-year-old son, could do to contain himself. Her parents and siblings rallied around the 21-year-old St. Paul man with tears and hugs, and shared his grief.

On Sunday, St. Paul Park police stopped by the Larson residence to take Matthews in for questioning.

Within hours, police were back on the phone to the slain woman’s mother. They now had a confession, according to the family. Matthews, police told the family, was Larson’s killer.

No motive given at this time.

MISSING: Amina Adamjee

aadamjee.jpgMissing Teen Left With MySpace Friend, Mom Says:
13-year-old Amina Adamjee of Mason, Ohio has been missing since yesterday. It’s alleged that she got into a car with someone she met on MySpace. The age of the person she left with is unknown.

Troy Nelson of the Mason police had this advice for parents…

“Know your kids’ password, know how to get into the MySpace or Facebook account (and) monitor what your kids are corresponding to back and forth in those accounts,” Nelson said.

I can’t stress that enough.

If you have any information about Amina or her whereabouts, call Crimsetoppers at 513-352-3040.

Smokin' baby

MySpace video of child smoking lands woman in jail:
I’ve always said that MySpace was the trailer park of the internet and it seems that I wasn’t far off. 33-year-old Sandra Venery of Virginia Beach, Va. was arrested after she posted a video on MySpace of a two-year-old trying to smoke a cigarette.

Police said that the video also showed the child using profanity at the prompting of an adult female family member. The depiction of smoking and use of profanity apparently was modeled after a popular comedy skit the suspect had seen on television.

I guess I’m not watching the ‘right’ shows. Does anybody know what show they’re talking about? Not that it matters, the kid will probably be smoking filterless Luckies by the time he’s 13 anyway unless he gets out of that environment.

MySpace used in NM burglary

Police Say MySpace Friendship Leads To Theft:
18-year-old Dean Blake Anderson of Albuquerque is accused of using MySpace to befriend a 16-year-old girl and then rob her house of eight rifles.

Court documents said she gave Anderson the security code to the gated community and left the door open.

The document then says she fell asleep and did not know if Anderson was ever there or not.

Police have recovered seven of the eight rifles.

All the money in the world doesn’t fix stupid.

Facebook sues porn company

Facebook suing Cdn porn site for allegedly hacking its servers:
Facebook has filed a lawsuit against Canadian porn company SlickCash alleging that they tried to hack into Facebook’s servers over 200,000 times during a two week period in June of this year. Facebook alleges that SlickCash were trying to access users personal information.

The lawsuit names Istra Holdings Inc., the numbered company affiliated with SlickCash, and defendants Brian Fabian and Josh Raskin as either “residing or working” at the same Toronto address.

The complaint contains allegations that have not been proven in court. Calls to Istra Holdings were not immediately returned, and it was not immediately clear whether any of the defendants had filed a statement of defence.

The SlickCash website boasts that its partners have been “involved in every facet of the online adult industry” since 1999.

The suit also names Ming Wu and six other defendants whose identities remain unknown.

No word on how much Facebook is suing for but according to court documents they’ve been damaged in excess of $5,000.

I hope the porn company can handle that.

Metal Molester barred from the stage

Judge in Sex Case Bans Rocker From Stage:
One of the more heated discussions that has been ongoing on this site is that of one Randall Shesto II. He’s the 21-year-old lead singer of the metal ‘band’ Nailwounds. He was caught not once but twice with underage girls earning him the nickname on this site of The Metal Molester.

Well it seems that the Molester is Metal no more as a judge has barred him from appearing on stage for 5 years.

“You love your music,” the judge told the defendant. “Your music has been the tool by which you have ingratiated your way into the lives of these girls. You may not play in a band in any public appearances during the term of your probationary period. I’m taking away from you the tools by which you worked your misdeeds, sir.”

I can just see the judge saying to him “Now I bid you good day sir.” before slamming down his gavel.

Shesto was also sentenced to a month behind bars, 11 months of work release, and 5 years probation. He also can’t use the internet or a cell phone without permission from his probation officer.

Rock on justice system. \m/
