Tesco man suspended over web message:
A man who works as a support line technician for an ISP in the UK is in hot water after leaving a comment and risque photo on a female customer’s Facebook.

A Tesco employee has been suspended after using a customer’s personal details to track her down on the Facebook website and send her a photo of himself wrapped in just a towel.

Jamie Piper, a technician on the Tesco internet support line, sent the revealing picture to Tania Roberts of Cardiff via the social networking site moments after dealing with her query.

He left a message on her Facebook profile saying: “I have no idea who you are lol x. But I am sure I spoke to you on the phone when you rang the Tesco internet support line. I may be wrong? Jamie x.”

Considering how information your ISP usually has on you this is a really creepy story.

The man was suspended from his job and no criminal charges have been filed yet.

Shooting at MySpace party

Man shot during MySpace Halloween party:
This is why you should never advertise a party on MySpace or attend one for that matter.

COLLIER COUNTY: A weekend Halloween party that was advertised on MySpace got out of control. So much so in fact, it left one man shot in the neck and three tenants evicted.

Officials say the people at the party ranged in age from just 15 to 25. Deputies say that’s part of the problem with advertising a party on MySpace – you never know who will show up.

In this case, things got out of control and it could have cost one man his life.

Left with a bullet lodged in his neck, Dennis Walker says he’s lucky to have survived a weekend house party.

“It’s half an inch away from my spinal cord. They say I could have been dead,” said Walker.

Walker says he heard about the party from a friend. They got there shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday and within minutes everyone was asked to leave.

“There were people fighting everywhere and then gun shots started ringing in the air. So after that I was on the ground,” said Walker.

And the three people hosting the party were evicted. Was it worth it?

Craigslist killer?

Steve Huff has confirmed to me and on on his blog that this is the MySpace of one Michael John Anderson. Anderson is the prime suspect in the muirder of Katherine Ann Olson. She was killed after responding to a phony employment ad on craigslist that was allegedly posted by Anderson.

It’s pretty close to a bare bones profile. No comments, no design, and only has two friends other than Tom.

Gang banger caught on MySpace

Murder suspect identified through gang’s MySpace page:
Oakland police used a gang’s MySpace page to catch 19-year-old Dwayne Stancil. Stancil is accused in the shooting death of 17-year-old Greg Ballard Jr., a football player for San Leandro High School.

Investigators developed some information about the assailant but didn’t identify Stancill as the suspect until they found his picture on a gang’s page on MySpace, the online social-networking site, said Officer Roland Holmgren, Oakland police spokesman.

Stancil is also the son of a San Lendro police detective.

I was unable to find a definitive MySpace for Stancil.

Smokin' blunts on MySpace

Viewers ID People Seen In MySpace Video:
So some people drive around Seguin, Texas and videotape themselves smoking blunts, while a two-year-old was in the car and not in a safety seat. So what did the geniuses do? Of course they posted it on MySpace. From MySpace the video found its way to being aired on the local news. Thanks to the broadcast people were able to identify the majority of the suspects.

According to this article. The three males were questioned by police and are ‘adults’ who are not attending school. The female behind the camera was also questioned. The child has been placed with Child Protective Services.

All the suspects are dumbasses if the allegations are true but no Red for you. He’s already made an appearance today. But if he was here he’s probably say that your ass is going to get the blunt end of his foot.

The Bomb Squad

Cops: Greenport ‘bomb squad’ caught on MySpace:
24-year-old Thomas Wood and 26-year old Richard Saetta referred to themselves as “The Bomb Squad”. Did it take you all night to come up with that name? They were arrested for setting off a pipe bomb in a Greenport, New York water fountain. How were police able to capture them? You should already know the answer by now. They posted the video of the explosion on MySpace.

Southold police were told about a video posted by Saetta showing Wood igniting the bomb in the Polo Grounds fountain on Moores Lane in Greenport.

You know what that means kiddies. It’s time for…

The Red Forman Dumbass Award

You’re going to need an Ass Squad to remove Red’s foot.

Teen wears flak jacket to school

Over at CrimeNe.ws I posted the rather bizarre story of Shawn Newberry. He’s an 18-year-old who wore a flak jacket to school and has a cache of weapons stockpiled at home. Yet he said there was no intention of wrongdoing. Uh huh.

Anyway here is his MySpace.

Colleen Grear sentenced

Former Scripps lab tech gets year in jail for sex with boy, 14:
Over a year ago I posted the story of Colleen Grear. She was the 22-year-old single mother lab tech who started a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy via MySpace. At first he said he was 18 but when she found out his real age she didn’t seem to care.

Yesterday Grear pleaded guilty to charges of lewd and lascivious battery. Under the terms of the plea she will spend a year behind bars, 2 years on house arrest, and 10 years as registered sex offender.

Being placed on sex offender probation carries special conditions regular probationers don’t have, such as being prohibited from living within 1,000-feet of a park, school or playground and barring contact with children under 18. Grear cannot have a job where kids regularly congregate and she cannot own or view pornography. She must submit to an HIV test and undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation and complete any recommended treatment. If she violates her probation, she faces 15 years behind bars.

What do you think of the sentence? Is it fair? Would a man have gotten more or less do you think?
