Patrick Lee Kenney

Man arrested after MySpace exchanges with girl:
25-year-old Patrick Lee Kenney of Portland, Oregon was arrested for tyring to meet a 12-year-old from Klamath Falls for sex. The girl’s mother found explicit messages and photos from Kenney. She then called police who posed as the girl and continued to talk to Kenney. Turns out Kenney has family in Klamath Falls and asked to meet the girl. You know what happens next. You know it. Police were waiting for him and arrested him. He tried the “she said she was 15″ defense. Oregon age of consent is 18.

I found a couple of MySpaces that fit the bill one is set to private and one is by an obvious horndog. However without a pic or mugshot I can’t narrow them down. Hell, they both might be his but without a pic to compare with I can’t post either.

Thanks to Pilar for the link.

UPDATE: One of the commenters below says that this is Kenney’s MySpace.

Mr. A reports XIV

Mr. A brings us another buttload of bad guys from MySpace.

First up is Karsten W. Koch.He was arrested on three felony counts of sexual assault of a child younger than 16.

The other day I posted about Lee Alexander Webb who was arrested for having sex with a minor. Turns out he got arrested again for the same charges from another victim. I couldn’t find it at the time but I should have known that Mr. A would have Webb’s MySpace.

Next up is 46 year old Ralph Wilson Knight. And here too. He was arrested for sending sexually explicit messages to a 13-year-old girl. Under who he’d like to meet on one of his profiles it says age does not matter to him. Obviously.

Now we have David Keck. (Google cache) He got the Dateline Special treatment by police for trying to pick up a 14-year-old girl who was actually Boynton Beach, Florida investigator Toby Athol. I wish they would print a picture of their faces everytime pedophiles get busted by cops who they think are young kids.

We’ve saved the worst for last. Mr. A brings us one Peter Jacob Inouye. To put it bluntly he was arrested for raping an 11-year-old girl. It always sickens me to see sex offenders holding children on their MySpaces whether they are there own or not.

Mr. A. So dedicated to finding creeps online that he’s the only one who remembered that today is MyCrimeSpace’s birthday.

MySpace extortionists reach plea

LI pair avoid jail in MySpace case:
The two Long Island teens who were arrested for trying to extort MySpace then claimed that they were just trying to get jobs with MySpace have pleaded no contest to the charges. (Holy run-on sentence Batman)

Shaun Harrison and Saverio Mondelli got three years probation, 160 hours of community service, have to pay MySpace $13.5K restitution, are not allowed to access MySpace, and their computers can be searched at anytime.

If they violate any part of that agreement they go straight to jail without passing GO or collecting $200.

More Stickam antics

Potential Dangers Of Webcams:
Just another local news article, this time from Philly, about the dangers of Stickam.

For two months, CBS 3 has been monitoring the website stickam.com – the latest in chat room websites that allow users to communicate using a webcam.

It’s as simple as hooking up your camera, logging onto the site, and then anyone can log on and watch you, live.

One local girl, who used the words “fondle me” in her on-screen name, went so far as to list her hometown.

One girl, who claims to be 16, calls herself the fallen angel.

We watched as she flashed her chest for the camera when someone in the chat room asks “can’t we see what’s under the blue top?”

Other comments to her were “I bet you look so sexy naked” and “you should come to my bedroom sometime.”

And another teen, whose screen name is Toni, also made sexual gestures for the camera at the prodding of strangers, “we’re not asking for a lot” one person writes.

“They lose entirely that sense of modesty that you would otherwise have in polite conversation, and the problem with that is that those images then end up on the internet,” said Green.

And possibly into the hands of child predators.

It’s important to note, and we’re glad to report, that most of teens we encountered online were not participating in sexual behavior. Many of them use the cameras simply to communicate with friends.

But the bottom line is if you allow your teen to have a webcam, supervise their use, and make sure their computer is in a public area of your home.

Why some parents still don’t do that is beyond me.

MySpace looked at in girl's disappearance

MySpace could be to blame for a missing teen:
13-year-old Justine Jones of St. Joseph, Missouri went missing this past Friday and her family thinks MySpace may have played a role in it.

While police have not issued an amber alert, her family is taking matters into its own hands. Choking back tears, Amber Dorman describes her worst feeling ever.

“It`s every parent`s, auntie?s, grandmother`s fear of this day right here of not knowing where your child is,” Dorman said. “She`s my niece, but she`s more like my daughter.”

Dorman has had custody of her 13-year-old niece, Justine Jones, for most of her life. She said not knowing where she is, is terrifying.

“I got some pictures together and posted some flyers,” Dorman said.

Police believe Justine likely left on her own and will come home once she`s ready. Dorman said that`s just not like Justine.

The last time Dorman saw Justine was at the bus stop a block from her house. She never came home from Robidoux Middle School. Dorman wonders if MySpace might be to blame.

“About two weeks ago, Justine was talking about MySpace with one of her friends and how there`s this guy that was cussing, saying certain obscene things,” Dorman said.

All information that should have been handed to the police.

“That would be fresh information that we have to go see who was it, what it says on MySpace, who was the person that did that,” St. Joseph Police Commander Jim Connors said.

I’m praying for her safe return.

U.K. Cyberbullies arrested

NET BULLY BOYS ARE ARRESTED:
Yet another short and vague article. This time out of the U.K.

TWO boys have been arrested for cyber-bullying after posting abusive messages on a website.

Police tracked the teens to their homes after complaints from users of networking site Bebo.

The boys, aged 14 and 15, posted pictures of classmates next to offensive messages as part of an ebullying hate campaign.

The teens, from Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, have been reprimanded.

I wonder if their parents didn’t know or didn’t care.

Werribee suspects may receive light sentences

I got a tip from a reader Alan in Australia who says that two of the Werribee rape DVD suspects will be receiving light sentences. This is the e-mail he sent me verbatim.

Punta Gorda P.D. gets White House nod

MySpace arrests grab White House’s attention:
MyCrimeSpace’s favorite police department, the Punta Gorda, Florida P.D., has done such a good job using MySpace to catch drug dealers that they’ve caught the attention of the White House.

A report was recently released from the White House on what the Punta Gorda Police Department is doing on MySpace and urges more police departments to follow their lead.

My fedora is off to the men and women of the Punta Gorda P.D.

Boston area robberies busted on MySpace

Robbery suspects found on MySpace:
Jared Mathena, 18, of Brighton, Mass. was arrested for trying to rob a man. The man fought back and held Mathena down until the cops got there. In the meantime three of his cohorts got away. Mathena basically rolled on them and told police he knew them through MySpace. Using Mathena’s own MySpace police were able to track down the three other suspects and arrested Thomas Haywood, 20, of Dorchester and two juveniles.

I was unable to find a definitive MySpace for Haywood but take a look at Mathena’s. One of his “dawg’s” had this to say…

we cant wait untill ur out my nigga f.w.p all day nigga

With friends like that it will only be a matter of time before they end up back in jail or dead. I hope this serves as a wake up call for these kids to clean up their act.

Fake Shawn Hornbeck MySpace

Fake Shawn works MySpace:
Apparently some jackass thought it would be funny to post a fake MySpace of kidnap victim Shawn Hornbeck. For those of you in subterranean mineral dwelling (that’s the PC term for living under a rock) Shawn Hornbeck was the kidnapped, held captive, and sexually assaulted for 4-years by scumbag Michael J Devlin.

“Their are alot of crazys out their wanting to talk to me about what happend,” he wrote to a star-struck girl from Wichita, Kan., who visited his MySpace page on the Internet.

She wrote: “everytime i look at your pic it make me smile you have the most gorgeous smile ive ever seen.”

So it has gone for most of this month. Not even a month after authorities pulled Shawn Hornbeck from the Kirkwood apartment where they say he was held captive for more than four years, someone began exploiting his likeness — and his heartthrob credentials — to talk to girls.

Luckily it’s been pulled. Whoever you were you are only one step above Devlin himself to use such a tragedy for your own interests. Rot in hell.
