Aurora Ill. MySpace Threat

Police: Student threatened administrator on Myspace:
Another kid, another MySpace threat…

A 14-year-old Aurora boy has been charged with harassment through electronic communications, a felony, for allegedly posting a threatening message aimed at a school administrator on the myspace.com Website, according to Aurora police.

The youth, a student at Bednarcik Junior High School in the 3000 Block of Heggs Drive, was referred to Kendall County Juvenile Justice Authorities and released to his parents, according to a release from the Aurora Police Department.

The message he allegedly posted was aimed at an administrator at the same school, police said. The student apparently wrote the message at the beginning of 2006, but it only came to the attention of school officials on Monday.

This kid had plenty of opportunities to remove the threat from his MySpace but he didn’t. Will they ever learn?

Kids who post threats and brags about other criminal wrong doing on my space are really not too bright. Everybody knows that school officials and law enforcement are now monitoring my space and it is only a matter of time before they will find it.
Or maybe that is the point. Maybe they don’t know what they want to do, so they decide to brag about a crime or post threats on my space, and that way they will get a cot, 3 squares, and a shower for a while.
